Push Yourself To The Edge With Extreme Sport In Scotland

Outdoor Activities > Extreme Sport

Skydiving
In recent years Scotland has seen a dramatic increase in the popularity of extreme and demanding sporting pursuits.

It's perhaps easy to understand why, when you see participants displaying their skills. Extreme athletes have mastered the physical and mental skills needed to travel within the most exciting and dangerous environments to defy gravity. Pushing yourself to the limit brings a feeling of achievement and satisfaction when faced with and overcoming the most hazardous challenges.

Extreme sports are more solitary pursuits than traditional sports, they are more about personal expression, exciting experience and developing a reputation for spectacular feats. Although extreme and fun, it pushes one to the edge and offers an adrenaline rush to the participant.

Snowboarding

Snowboarding
Snowboarding is one of the most exciting winter sports. Though it looks easy, in truth it is extremely difficult to master.

When most people think of snowboarding they think of young kids hurtling down the snow slope, and while that may be true, there are now many older riders of all ages enjoying the sport. Experience hours on real snow at any of our indoor domes across the UK, with all equipment supplied. More on Snowboarding

Quad Biking

Quad Biking
Quad biking may not be everyone's idea of an extreme sport, but when you can only see 6 feet in front of you, it certainly feels like one.

It is also a great way to get into Scotland's hills for those who wouldn't normally venture that far. Quad biking is great fun, but quad bikes are powerful machines and must be handled with proper care. Experience beautiful scenery, outdoor air and adrenalin pumping fun. Available at venues across the UK, and all your equipment and clothing is provided. More on Quadbiking

Canyoning

Canyoning
Canyoning is something that you have to experience, the sport of travelling down canyons using a variety of techniques including walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping, abseiling and swimming.

Canyoning is a relatively new sport to Scotland, but one rapidly growing in popularity. It is very different from rock climbing as there is no climbing involved and the way is always downstream. A white water (or should I say white knuckle) ride, available at venues across the UK. More on Canyoning

Ice Climbing

Ice Climbing
Ice climbing is still a relatively young extreme sport, but it has gained in popularity in recent years.

Ice climbing can be encountered in many mountain environments, and unless you have done a great deal of Grade III and above ice climbing, we would always advise on having an instructed session. Experience this extreme sport in venues across the UK. All specialist equipment is supplied. More on Ice Climbing

Powerboating

Power Boating
Welcome on board the sport of powerboating. We have teamed up with Extreme Element to offer you the best Powerboating courses and experiences across the UK. Powerboating is the ultimate adrenaline rush on the water as you open the throttle and feel the engine surge forward wihth intense power.

Participation is growing and powerboating now stands out as a sport in its own right. The ZapCat is a light weight, twin hulled inflatable boat with a large outboard engine and can reach speeds of 50mph in 3 seconds. More on Powerboating

Sphereing

Sphereing
Harness Sphereing for two is a brand new extreme sport where people are rolled down steep hills inside 12' inflatable balls.

Sphereing will leave you addicted, and there is nothing to fear as the balls are inflatable and the capsule provides all the padding you need.

Sphereing is still a relatively new sport in Scotland, but is getting more popular all the time. A unique adventure activity guaranteed to get the adrenalin going. More on Sphereing

Skydiving

Skydiving
Skydiving has been used by the military since the early 1900s, including both World Wars, and it is the only aerial activity where the body is the flying instrument instead of a machine.

Skydiving is one of the most incredible experiences you can have, and we invite you to experience the adrenalin rush of skydiving, while feeling completely safe. AFF level 1 to full AFF course available at venues across the UK, with all equipment provided. More on Skydiving

Kitesurfing

Kite Surfing
Kite Surfing is another craze in extreme sports. The idea of using a kite to enhance speed and gravity for the surfer seems like a new and exhilarating challenge, yet the art of Kite Surfing dates back to the 13th Century.

Combine surfing, widsurfing and paragliding and you have an idea of Kitesurfing. All equipment supplied but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. More on Kitesurfing

Paintballing

Paintballing
Maybe not so extreme now, but paintballing has become most popular, providing a fantastic day of excitement and fun with all equipment included in the price. There are many paintballing venues across Scotland and the UK, so get into the game zone, get attacking and lay siege to the enemy. A great time is guaranteed. Ideal for larger parties or team buildng events. More on Paintballing
